Co-created by Nassima from The TONIC15, who’s a teacher and busy mum-of-one, every product in the kit works overtime ‘I needed a full routine that was suitable for all skin types – that was both gentle and effective,’ she explains.

‘When I was putting it together, I was focussed on everything being time-efficient. I was constantly sense-checking that all of the products would work for busy mums, full-time employees, hardworking young professionals and everyone in between.’

‘I like hybrid products that have multiple benefits and uses, which works for people who can’t always dedicate a lot of time to their skincare every day,’ she adds. ‘Stress seems to be an inevitability of modern life, so the products we picked all needed to have a sensory element to them – that’s why everything in the kit has an incredible scent as well as being highly efficacious,’ she adds.

‘I love everything inside the kit, but my all-time favourite has to be the Aromatica Orange Cleansing Sherbet,’ says Nassima. ‘It’s effective, gentle and yet still smells delicious. Cleansing is my favourite skincare step, so this has to be my favourite product.’

‘SPF is also a non-negotiable for me. The KEEP COOL SPF is so light yet works so well under makeup, so it’s a win-win for me. One of the reasons why I didn’t grow up using SPF was because of it leaving a film on skin but this formula works for all skin tones and leaves no white cast behind,’ she explains.

The kit, which finally came to life six months after Jin and Nassima first floated the idea, was a timely affair, not just because the duo wanted to edit to be the best it could be, but also because of Covid. ‘Everything had to be arranged remotely, which was a challenge,’ explains Jin.

‘For creating the pouch, from selecting the colour to have it actually made to the final version, I had to communicate very closely with our supplier and Nassima to make sure that we the kit was created just how we wanted it,’ she adds.

‘We had to make several samples and made changes countless time – sometimes I was on the phone to the supplier five times a day! But we are so happy with what we’ve created.’

The kit has been carefully thought out with everything it cleverly considered to suit a wide range of skin types and tones. Wondering how to use it? We’ve asked Nassima and Jin to share their top skincare tips so you can create a mix-and-match regime based on giving your skin what it needs, when it needs it.

Step 1| Double cleanse

There are two brilliant cleansers in the kit, ‘it’s my favourite skincare step,’ says Nassima. And Like everything in this collection, both are adjustable, adaptable and can be used your way depending on what your skin needs that day.

While you might want to use a single cleanser in the morning – and we’d recommend the gentle Sioris Day by Day Cleansing Gel if so – we love the duo used to together as an end-of-day, double cleanse.

For your before-bed regime, start by using the Aromatica Cleansing Sherbet to melt away makeup, massaging it into skin, then whisking its unctuous formula away with a warm cloth.

‘Again, this is my absolute favourite product,’ adds Nassima. ‘There is nothing as buttery and as enjoyable as this on the market right now. The thick texture melts right into your skin, and takes off ALL of your make up, even my water-proof mascara.’

Then, use the kind-to-skin Sioris Day By Day Cleansing Gel to remove daily dirt and any leftover makeup residue. The perfect cleanser for oily, spot-prone skin, it effectively cleanses and purifies, while also maintaining the optimal water and oil balance of skin. Rinse your face and gently pat dry.

Step 2| Apply an essence

This kit includes two essences so you can switch them up depending on what your skin is crying out for. After cleansing, if your skin looks a little lacklustre or feels congested, turn to the I’m From Fig Boosting Essence. Incredibly lightweight and absorbed quickly into skin, it gently exfoliates and smooths using BHAs to get skin ready for the subsequent steps.

If you’ve noticed that you’re breaking out or perhaps are suffering from mask-induced acne, you might prefer the By Wishtrend Mandelic Acid 5%. Hydrating and non-irritating, it’s formulated with antibacterial Mandelic Acid and Beta-Glucan to help improve the appearance of pigmentation and gently decongest skin.

Step 3| Smooth on a serum

The Huxley Oil Essence; Essence-Like Oil Like is an oil-essence hybrid infused with antioxidant-rich prickly pear seed oil, quinoa and açai berry to energise and revitalise the skin.
