Holiday Party Prep: Our head to toe guide to glowing limbs and glossy hair
Steal these skin and hair tricks that really work to keep you shining from dusk to dawn
However you’re celebrating this holiday season – from attending the party circuit to keeping it simple with a family feast or even the holidays spent abroad, you’ll always want to look and feel your best. So here, the TONIC15 guide to prepping your skin, body and hair for a total holiday party season glow up…
#1 Go for a luminising treatment
Want a mega skin glow? Have a facial two to three days before the party. But be sure to have one you’ve tried before, so you know how your skin will react. You can also create a facial at-home with the right products and treatments. We’re all about multi-masking here at TONIC15 to target different skin concerns in one go.
#2 Make time for massage
Whichever mask or mask routine you choose, take the time to really work it into skin either when you apply it or when you’re washing it off. Massage has been proven to reduce the level of the stress hormone cortisol and release ‘happy’ endorphins instead, so you’ll feel calmer, happier and brighter too. Use your entire hands, not you’re your fingertips, starting from the chest up with big circular movements to spread the mask across your face. Spend 30 seconds doing this and put firmer pressure than you normally would. Remember that as long as you have slip [product] beneath the fingers you won’t drag or damage your skin. Then, continue to massage using small, round circles focusing on areas that can look fatigued like the jawline, around the sides of the nose where your sinuses can collect fluid and make you look puffy, as well as around the mouth and forehead where deeper lines start to show up.
#3 Add antioxidants
Simply put, antioxidants are the ultimate complexion-brightening skincare heroes. One the day of your holiday party it’s important to include them in your skincare routine if you want a true lit-from-withing luminosity.
#4 Always prime and prep your skin
After protecting and brightening your skin it’s essential to use a moisturizer that’s non-greasy and will actually prep your skin for foundation and add to its staying power.
#5 Target limbs and arms
If you’re flashing bare legs and arms in your party dress, make sure your limbs are fit to be seen with regular exfoliation and good body oils.
#6 Refresh skin religiously
Before you go out the door consider using a facial mist. Just one spritz will keep you refreshed while delivering many skincare benefits too. Plus, it helps make-up sink in and last all night long.
#7 Add shine to locks
How you prep your hair matters too. If you want shine and natural volume for your party look give yourself a treatment the day before not on the day since day old hair tends to hold a style so much better.

TONIC15 founder Jin Kwon swears by pairing:
“First, I use the nozzle tip of the scalp scrub to really get the formula into my partings then I’ll massage it all in for a few minutes before rinsing in the shower. After shampooing, I’ll apply the hair mask to my lengths and ends, leave it in for a good 5 minutes while I let the steam from my shower help the mask penetrate even deeper into the hair shaft before rinsing it out. This routine leaves my hair and scalp feeling refreshed, healthy and utterly silky.”
